Auto-Parsing Tasks in OmniFocus on iOS
Back in 2015, I had an idea. What if it was possible to email (manually or auto-generated) a task into OmniFocus and have it automatically end up in the correct project and context? And if that's possible, can I add all the dates, notes, duration, and such to the task as well? It turned out that it was possible! And I built a little script and method for doing exactly that.

@mattcassinelli Iām with you. Plan is to add an auto-generated P&L, Net Worth, and Expense charts month over month. All of which are automatic. But that will come later in the summer.

@JoeBuhlig Is there a specific version or use case? Even like grocery tracking or basic budgeting? Cause Shortcuts improved the Numbers actions.
@mattcassinelli I worked on sales metrics, product performance, market share, regional data, etc. A simpler version is our household budget. Can never find an app or service that does basic budgeting correctly.

@mattcassinelli What is something? I used to build intense sheets that would pull and update data from a centralized database elsewhere and then display graphs based on it. Basically, whatever you want.
Fun little side gig of mine. Fixing instrument cluster on older GM vehicles. This one needed all new stepper motors and resoldering cracked points (last pic). Hopefully it works again!
