Ever wonder what goes into building a content calendar? Here’s how I do it in @OmniFocus.
Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.
👋 I'm Joe Buhlig. I strive to build productivity systems that stand the test of time and help me do more than check boxes. I'm here to help you do the same.
🎙 I read a lot of books and talk about it.
🐿 I can't focus on one thing for long, so I write a lot of code for an eclectic grouping of projects.
📓 And I'm a bit obsessed with finding non-proprietary solutions to digital problems. Thus, text files for the win! 🎉
I'll send you the link to a six-minute overview video of my August 2020 spreads when you sign up for my newsletter, The Weekly Impulse.

@JoeBuhlig Hey, I’m so glad you found it. I’ve been meaning to update the instructions because I made it into a folder instead of a single JavaScript file. I also added a “Catch me up” feature. Let me know if it works for you!
I just discovered this article by @agarrharr. He took my Read Book AppleScript and converted it to an Omni Automation plugin! Thanks, Adam!
I read books on a couple of podcasts, which means that I need to finish reading the book by a certain date. I was using Joe Buhlig’s Read Book script,...
Fun little side gig of mine. Fixing instrument cluster on older GM vehicles. This one needed all new stepper motors and resoldering cracked points (last pic). Hopefully it works again!

I just learned that with a Lightning to USB Media converter, you can plug in a Zoom H4N Pro and use it for audio I/O. 🤯
Free webinar next week! Looking at the alternatives to Roam Research. This will be both conceptual and practical.

There are so many of these knowledge tools coming and going that it's hard to keep them straight. But what happens if you boil them down to the concepts and ideas for each input and every output? Do you need the power of each one? And if you can get down to these individual components, what tools can truly serve your purpose?
Remember this? An awesome update is coming this Friday.
I love it when my systems do things automatically. In this case, I can capture an idea for a someday/maybe list and it ends up in the right place in...

I'm deciding what content to release in February today. And that means I'm updating my project list in OmniFocus... at this very moment.
I need to set up my content calendar for the month of February in OmniFocus. And then I'm reviewing all the tech/productivity/analog news of the last week.

Needs a finish put on it, but this is a bread cutting board I’ve been working on for Becky. Gotta love the smell of walnut sawdust. 💕
Many books promise to help you overcome obstacles and reach your goals. But it's still up to you to take action - which is why they often don't work. Today's...
I’ve debated doing this for a while, but I just made the analytics of my blog (http://joebuhlig.com) public via @usefathom. I’m a huge fan of their simplicity and their privacy focus. Enjoy!

@WebinarNinja Ran a webinar today and only had a third of expected members show up. Turns out the missing member’s email links 404’d. Guessing this has to do with the new version rollout? But how do I prevent it from happening again?
My apologies to those who couldn’t enter the session today. Not sure why that happened. The recording is encoding right now and should be available first thing in the morning.
