Slow Sunday afternoon...
Let’s just swap out the WiFi router real quick.
10 minutes later. Oh god abort ABORT!!!!
Kids were crying. It got messy there for a bit.

@JoeBuhlig Still this is perfect, I want to start small. But hooking up charts & such eventually would be awesome too, I love me some dashboards
@mattcassinelli I’m with you. Plan is to add an auto-generated P&L, Net Worth, and Expense charts month over month. All of which are automatic. But that will come later in the summer.
@mattcassinelli Here’s a dumbed down version of my business budget. I made up the categories and the transactional data. The key is that each month I can copy/paste transactions from my statement and it auto-populates.

@mattcassinelli Keep in mind that this is a super simple version of what many corporations do on a daily basis.

@JoeBuhlig Is there a specific version or use case? Even like grocery tracking or basic budgeting? Cause Shortcuts improved the Numbers actions.
@mattcassinelli I worked on sales metrics, product performance, market share, regional data, etc. A simpler version is our household budget. Can never find an app or service that does basic budgeting correctly.
Does anyone have good shareable spreadsheets I could take a look at for something? https://twitter.com/lconfraria/status/1354137650974892039
@mattcassinelli What is something? I used to build intense sheets that would pull and update data from a centralized database elsewhere and then display graphs based on it. Basically, whatever you want.
@curtismchale @JoeBuhlig As that guy I apologize I n advance to both of you.
@BobbleheadJoe @curtismchale I could be wrong, but I think Curtis is referring to the times you reach out to a friend at a company that is giving you the runaround. Which would be a bit different. 😉
I just learned that with a Lightning to USB Media converter, you can plug in a Zoom H4N Pro and use it for audio I/O. 🤯
Next question is: will this allow me to use my Beta 87a and headphones on @joinClubhouse? 🤔
I super HATE reaching out to people I know. Shouldn’t have to happen.
@curtismchale And you always feel like you’re the one who owes a favor afterward. Even when you are the one being faulted.
Guess I should start tweeting, I suppose! #bujo #bulletjournal
@JoeBuhlig I created an version of this with the new scripting! And then went further with parsing URLs in notes to add tags. Thanks for the inspiration, and I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
@RosemaryOrchard Nice! Where do I find your version?
Mine is basically a straight port to JS. Here’s the technical script sans how-to:
A collection of the AppleScripts I use to extend OmniFocus. - OFScripts/auto-parser.omnifocusjs at master · joebuhlig/OFScripts
Alexa on my tablet, Google on my phone and Cortana on my laptop and I'm still writing my appts in my bullet journal 😂😂
I had a dream last night that I accidentally filled up my entire bullet journal with just January 🥵🥵🥵
@zovczmwiz Accidentally? Either that’s a lot of tasks to track or your mind is especially clear and focused. 😂
So excited for February’s bullet journal theme 💗 Might even film it 🤗
My lovely little one has made an entry in my bullet journal. 💙 #journalingteacher
@Amy___Blackburn Love it! Also, the dangers of leaving a notebook out when kids are around. 😂
@garethlpowell I love that it’s simple and done with a standard pen. There’s too much artwork out there trying to pass as Bullet Journal.
What are some of your best life hacks to stay focused or avoid distractions?
Here are 3 of my favorites:
1) Maintain a #bulletjournal (schedule, to do list, notes, etc).
2) Block internet & apps with @freedom.
3) Keep my phone screen in grayscale.

@StoneyPortis @freedom Bullet journaling is a solid one in my book. It’s a big reason I’m sane. 😂

I need to set up my content calendar for the month of February in OmniFocus. And then I'm reviewing all the tech/productivity/analog news of the last week.

@JoeBuhlig Hi Joe! Yes with the release some kinks are being ironed out. Good news, fixes are happening around the clock. However, really sorry for the troubles 😔 We appreciate your patience! Chat with support if you have more Qs.
Think I’m going to have to paint and go full custom on one of my keyboards now that I have those cool key caps
@curtismchale Nice! Been wanting to go full custom myself. Had my eye on a @keycult No. 2.
@JoeBuhlig Apparently alt-right thinks Signal is really controlled by CIA & they will never use it. So, that's another reason to join Signal.
@JackiHBrown Sometimes I’m amazed at how the extreme left and right perpetuate conspiracy theories inside their echo chambers. This does not surprise me.
@JoeBuhlig This is the third response, the first two weren’t helpful either but I could see maybe why my information wasn’t as clear. I do know developers in charge of the team. I don’t like to reach out to them, but I may have to.
Love it when you contact support with a specific question and data and then they get back to you with a general answer that has little to do with your question and everything to do with the form you used to ask it
@curtismchale Sometimes I wonder if they use a form-letter for first response to weed hard stuff out.
