@JoeBuhlig @shouit Interesting... Will there be a bacon spread?
@hljboss Theyโre for other folks. Not mine. There is only one scenario I can see using a PC and thatโs for streaming. But I donโt game so itโs not necessary. ๐
@JoeBuhlig Better awkward then embarrassed in front of many.
@sbecker152 For sure. Deleting at a minimum. Likely telling the camera operator. But outside of that...
@JoeBuhlig Delete it and let her know that you've done that.
@tonypiper Definitely deleting. Thought about mentioning it to the camera operator and no one else.
Why is it so hard to buy a nice USB-C cable?
@JoeBuhlig Whoops got in the zone and totally missed this. ๐ข
@kjaymiller We missed you. But I made some big changes to how Iโm handling recurring tasks. Frankenlog!
@JoeBuhlig clicked on your "right now" link off of your microblog directory (https://now.joebuhlig.com/) but I'm getting a "Forbidden" error
If you have a spread you want me to look at or find one youโre curious about, throw #bujospreadreview on it and Iโll take a look on stream. Twitter or Instagram.
Thanks to all who shared their spreads today! I learned a ton. If you have one you want me to look at on Monday, tag it with #bujospreadreview and I take a look on stream.
@JoeBuhlig @mattcassinelli However there are genuinely Excel Competitions. Remember listening to a podcast where someone was talking about what is involved. Was surprisingly interesting. Also, it seems in those circles you don't use a mouse.
@thekfe @mattcassinelli I feel like I just went on a small emotional roller coaster. They exist! ๐ฑ They donโt. ๐ข But theyโre real?! ๐
Tomorrow. 1 PM Central. On Twitch. Iโm critiquing Bullet Journal spreads. This will be fun.

@JoeBuhlig lol where does one go to submit to torture. (I'm asking where do I send you images of my hideous day pages.)
@BobbleheadJoe @shawnblanc @bodiequirk This would mean writing a script ahead of time. Canโt say I know how that works. ๐

New book by @Calnewport_ due March 2021.

@JoeBuhlig @system76 Didn't take you as a Linux user. I've been looking into going back into Linux lately (or OpenBSD) with the focus I've been giving security (http://privacytools.io and your suggestions re: NextDNS and Brave), and it's making me laptop-window shop.
@bdkl_ I have two thumb drives with bootable Linux on them. One is Ubuntu and the other Kali. They donโt get a ton of use but some.
@JoeBuhlig Insanely, they persist after restarts!!
@DrewCoffman ๐คฏ Iโve lost too much trusting like that. Drafts for the win. ๐
@JoeBuhlig @system76 The one I'm using is a Lenovo Flex 10, poor Windows 10 machine but great with Linux and the touch screen even works :-). But being so cheap used means you don't have to worry when taking it anywhere.
Most people use Twitter drafts but I, an insane person, just keep all my potential tweets minimized in the dock
@JoeBuhlig @system76 At the other end I bought a used netbook for fifty pounds and installed Linux Mint. After my work laptop it's the most used computer I own.
Has anyone used Vimeo Livestreaming for webinars instead of Zoom? I'm very intrigued. Would be half the price of Zoom for the 500 attendee plan. https://vimeo.com/features/livestreaming
@mattragland We used Vimeo Live as our main feed at church for a couple months. We kept fighting to get a solid connection to it and ended up switching to Castr. Been solid ever since. But weโre sending via RTMP and not webcam. So I canโt speak to the latter.
How did your love of fountain pens begin? Tell us your story in the comments!
@GouletPens It was all Brianโs fault. Stumbled across his top five every day pens video. Been broke ever since.
@dowdyism @Phil_Lewis_ I was just talking to my wife about moving to a nice place like Duluth or Alpharetta. This isn't helping the argument.
Last time I did a Q&A video Mixer was still a thing.. oof
Hit me up, #askHarris number 3
@HarrisHeller Do you use a backup internet line? One main and one secondary to ensure a solid connection.
Tax season is not over. https://twitter.com/financialpost/status/1283745985949302784
@joshuaginter True. Anyone who deals with 1099s and slow clients is still working on it.
@rachelschmitz @dowdyism @JoeBuhlig I didnโt really understand how much heโd fallen into the deep end. Time for an intervention?
@garrickbailey @rachelschmitz @dowdyism Maybe. Would likely take all of us (plus Rachel) to get it done.
@JoeBuhlig Itโs not fish. Itโs rvm/rbenv, gem, mysqld, and various other pkg-install issues.
@ttscoff Sorry canโt help there either. Been running gem installs and building rbenv environments on and off the last couple weeks with no issues. Assuming here that installs are the issue.
@JoeBuhlig I started listening to the @bookwormfm ep on Bullet Journal but havenโt finished it yet. Iโll give that a try.
โฆI still want an iPad though.
@mseager @bookwormfm I have no issues with just wanting one. I want one, too. I just canโt figure out what problem it solves. Also, I think it would be too easy to go down a pit of wasted time with one. ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
@JoeBuhlig Love paper but I can never find anything when I need it! Iโm considering an iPad just for handwritten notes. Very expensive notepad ๐ธ
@mseager I had the same qualms until I switched to the Bullet Journal. Iโm always surprised at how quick I can find what I want.
I'll send you the link to a six-minute overview video of my August 2020 spreads when you sign up for my newsletter, The Weekly Impulse.
