If you’re curious, it’s a system that modifies Jekyll to work with an @oracle CMS. Now we can write in Markdown, host on GitHub, and publish to official Oracle sites.
Nothing about it was easy, but it’s still less painful than actually having to use a CMS…
Just did an interesting experiment:
I’ve completely ignored emails the past 5 days as I was at a conference
I sat down and it took me exactly 2 hours to clear my email inbox
Which means it takes me 24 minutes on average for each day’s worth of emails to get to inbox zero
A unique strength of ADHD is our innate ability to enhance an idea.
Divergent thinking leads us to apply new constructs to a concept as we evaluate, adjust, critique, discover, invent, and improve—all without realizing it.
It’s our natural way of idea interaction.
It doesn’t matter how easy something is for other people—if I don’t want to do it, if I’m not doing it, it’s a difficult task.
This doesn’t excuse me from having to do it, but it helps me not feel bad about the difficulty.
@JoeBuhlig Thanks for sharing. And a bigger thanks for running @bookwormfm. Among other recommendations, Episode #134 about Self Control: It’s Kingship and Majesty was of immense help to me, both from reading and listening to your discussion.
@JoeBuhlig @selfire1 At the end of every episode, I think to myself “I should really make an interactive web app that analyzes their book ratings”. Looks like Joschua has done the work for me! Great work, looks awesome!

As a fan of the @bookwormfm podcast, I coded up a website to see the ratings from @_MikeSchmitz and @JoeBuhlig.
My first website ever, built with @eleven_ty 🎈
I had to use Word this morning and was reminded of a question I’ve often wanted to ask Word users: How do you people drag your windows around?
If you buy my book, tweet a picture of yourself with it and the hashtag #basb and we’ll add it to our “wall of love”!

@kevin2kelly @andy_matuschak Here’s a quick walkthrough on how to use store iOS Reminders at specific locations.
@JoeBuhlig Pretty good overall. Fortunately for your time management, you can just watch the whole thing and skip the boring sections. Also, this recap is a good way to get a very high level overview: https://developer.apple.com/videos/play/wwdc2022/110929/
What are the habits of people who never get stressed?

And then they wonder why they’re not growing.
Here’s how to use the right tactics for the growth phase you’re in👇
Commit to task -> procrastinate -> guilt&shame&anxiety -> avoidance -> sadness&anger&hopelessness -> just in time for deadline OR grand failure -> "I'll never do this again" -> repeat

Today is another reminder that time continues to move forward, whether I notice it or not—in other words, it’s my birthday! 🎉
Thanks for following and making this past year one of the more memorable of my life.
Can’t wait to see what adventures this next year will bring…
Hung out with someone yesterday who just so happened to bring up Shortcuts on their own… you should have seen my face
@JoeBuhlig Cool! p.s. There’s an app called @PictureThisAI that does a marvellous job of identifying plants, animals, birds, etc. that you find in the woods (and elsewhere). Thanks to @MacSparky for the recommendation on @macpowerusers.
“Why do people still think Linux is bad for regular people? It’s user-friendly, anyone can use it!”
