@JoeBuhlig Regretted most of them, because they usually target beginners.

@boettges Never thought of that one. But most courses I own or create have this aspect. Maybe beginners are most likely to purchase a product? So we build towards them?

@JoeBuhlig There’s a limit to what I want to learn without wondering if I should be community college credit in terms of price and scope. I mostly try to stay $100 and under. I think @MacSparky’s field guides are in the sweet spot in terms of content vs. price.
@JoeBuhlig I've done a couple, but the key for me actually doing it is whether it is in the grasp of my current skillset. Obsidian? Sure, no problem. JavaScript? Might be a little optimistic. The price also has to be right in case it just doesn't "take" for me.
@MadMike294 Can you elaborate n that last but on price? What qualifies to you?

@JoeBuhlig The real question is did you actually finish it….and the answer is always no.
@JoeBuhlig I’m taking courses on Coursera. Right now on course 5 of 8 towards my data analyst certification.

I am always really impressed when a developer solves a difficult feature request. It's one of the many ways they can show that they care about their customers! https://twitter.com/pvieito/status/1508904103832870915
@JoeBuhlig I've bought a lot of Great Courses (and they are great!). I don't watch all the lectures in each course (nor did I intend to). https://www.thegreatcourses.com
Currently recording iOS Today live on @TWiTLive!!
Some days it’s hard to convince myself that ADHD is not an excuse to avoid work.
@JoeBuhlig Don't buy them, have watched quite a few via Linkedin Learning in a previous job and decided money was better spent buying books.
@thekfe I tend to be the same. It always seems like there’s a solid free option available so I’d rather spend money on tools.
As a content creator, this is something I’ve struggled to reconcile.
If you’ve bought an online course, did you actually watch it? Or not? Why?
If you don’t buy them, why?
Asking for a friend… 😉

Just learned about this magical system. Likely to lose some time later this morning setting this up. Thanks, @1Password!
1Password now includes full support for SSH keys, providing the easiest and most secure way for developers to manage SSH keys and use Git in their daily workflow.
@JoeBuhlig Nova is my code editor of choice. I’ve been a fan of @panic for many years. They have a well-deserved reputation for attention to detail and reliability.
@timstringer @panic If I didn’t live on command line so much, Nova is where I would be. It’s simply too easy to type “vim” and start editing wherever I am.
