It just occurred to me that I have an I9 (12900K)/ RTX 3080 machine on order right now to use as a stream encoder. Now Iโm wondering if Mac Studio would be a better choice.
Nope. At $4k, itโs not worth it. Iโd have to see how the M1 Max chips compare to see if thatโs worth it at $2k.

@JoeBuhlig I absolutely love my Mac air with the M1 chip. Itโs been amazing for web development.
Apple just said the M1 Ultra is more powerful than the RTX 3090..
I just set up an M1 Max machine for a coworker and itโs been incredible. The thought of a double M1 Max machine is just ๐คฏ
