This was so fun! And there’s an after-show pen tour that’s coming out soon. 😉 https://twitter.com/analogrevenge/status/1282689722436005890
@JoeBuhlig I had @OmniFocus for the master database and a HipsterPDA for daily work. I dropped the HipsterPDA for a discbound notebook to complement OF3. The notebook now handles daily/weekly planning. That’s the only change I made 6 months ago.

@toolstoys Yes, but have you ever completed a double-sided solid white one. If memory serves, it was 1,500 pieces. 🤓
@JoeBuhlig None. OmniFocus lets me experiment with different systems without changing the app.
@JoeBuhlig Do they count if I started on todoist tried some others and am back using todoist 😇
@thekfe Yep. That was two of mine. Switching from OF and then switching back. 😉
@JoeBuhlig Zero. I’ve been using @OmniFocus as my single taskmanager for years and have not been tempted once to switch. Nevertheless, I find myself constantly refining my system based on my ever evolving needs.
Been thinking a lot about this lately. How many times have you switched task managers in the last three years? I’m at 4.
Does anyone have good solutions for storing electronic gear? I would like something like this ideally but I'm having a hard time finding aesthetically pleasing storage solutions…
@DrewCoffman I use Amazon boxes in a closet. 🤷🏻♂️
So I guess I’d like to know this as well. Debated the classic mechanic shop wall of plastic bins a couple times.

@JoeBuhlig @peakdesignltd I was able to bend it back fairly easily, but that does mean it’s weaker now so it’s more likely to fail at some point
@curtismchale @peakdesignltd Good to know. Also, how did you manage to bend it? Those things are tough.
Managed to bend a clip on my @peakdesignltd backpack this weekend. Can you get new hardware
@curtismchale @peakdesignltd Would love to know the answer to this. Don’t have any bent hardware on mine, but I drag that thing everywhere. It’s bound to happen.

97: Reclaiming Conversation by Sherry Turkle – Bookworm
In our digital age, it's easy to stay connected. Emails, text messages, and social media allow us to share snippets of our lives with others- without really having to look,...
@JoeBuhlig A well produced channel with topics that have made your podcasts great. Books, productivity, implementation & use of those apps, note taking, analog vs digital or analog + digital. Just a few ideas.
@RSalermo This is similar to my current thinking. I’m okay with it being a diverse topic group. Non-gaming streaming, streaming on a Mac, scripting, digital marketing, markdown, meditation, and pen/paper. So that means it’s likely a personality channel.
@JoeBuhlig A Linux alternative for every piece of software mentioned that is Apple only 😀You can't have Obsidian as I'm already using it 🙃Actually how about guides to using Markdown.
@thekfe It would help if I used Linux as my main machine. 😂
I like the markdown ideas. I use it for almost everything. 👍🏻

One thing to note about this idea: I will likely avoid analog as a primary focus. Those topics are better suited for @analogrevenge. But Analog Joe will likely be mentioned in most episodes, so I’ll be keeping ideas tangential to analog. https://twitter.com/JoeBuhlig/status/1281189824343486464
@JoeBuhlig Here are some ideas:
- Mixing analog with digital.
- Expressing the joy/play in analog.
- Writing flows using analog.
- Pitfalls/dangers of a pure analog flow.
@JoeBuhlig Interviews with individuals who have studied the learning and/or organizational benefits of doing bullet journaling or other analog styles of information management versus using digital tools.
@hljboss I like the idea. That seems better suited for the @analogrevenge webinars. 🤔

It’s time. I’ve played with starting a YouTube channel for years and it’s now the season to act on it.
I have ideas for the main focus of the channel, but what would you love to see the most?
I'm excited to have @BobbleheadJoe join us for our first ever guest webinar! Join us to see his system live and ask questions!
